This education activity is designed to provide useful, up-to-date information for all health care providers and workers concerned with the public and the risks of HIV/AIDS.
Physicians, Advanced Practice Nurses, Nurses, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Public Health Workers, Community Counselors, Psychologists, School Administrators, and concerned citizens.
On completion of this educational activity the participants will be able to:
· Analyzed the current level of collaboration among Public Health and HIV Professionals
· Examine issues affecting HIV prevention and care from domestic and global perspectives
· Develop strategies that health care providers and public health workers can use to educate women about preconception health and preventing mother to child HIV transmission
· Analyze HIV providers’ best self-care practices
· Identify and discuss the impact of recreational drug use and therapeutic HAART regimen.
